Workshop

Informatics in Neuroscience

ZonMw Building, Den Haag, Friday, December 9, 2005

The objective of this workshop is to discuss the role of Informatics in Neuroscience. In view of the challenges that neuroscience is facing with respect to data management, data analysis and computational modelling, informatics tools and approaches will come to play an increasing important role in neuroscience. It is the objective of the new field of Neuroinformatics to integrate informatics and neuroscience in order to work on conditions for data sharing, integration and analysis, advancement of theories of nervous system function through the development of neuroscience data and knowledge bases, analytical and simulation tools, and computational models.
